The Information Revolution

Every once in a while, I find something that reminds me why I still like information technology and how much it changes our lives. Watch this fabulous video by Michael Wesch :

Fantastic Engadget !!!

It’s been some time since I’ve added links in my “Blogs I really like” sidebar. Beyond the always fabulous Spirit Fingers (which I couldn’t recommend more highly), I’m going to add three more:

1) Engadget : I have come to enjoy and trust this blog more than most tech magazines. They have an open mind. They’re funny. They’re well informed and they publish a huge stream of stuff. I never miss a day of their posts. The reviews are complete, to the point, and very accurate. Truly one of the best blogs I know !!!

2) Luxist : devoted to all luxury seekers…

3) Cool Hunting : in honor of one of my favorite books of all time Pattern Recognition 😉

Saving Grace in Singapore

singagarden.jpgPrecedent post, harsh words, upset travelers… But on this Sunday with it’s forced stay here in Singapore not all was bad. We shopped which is quite obvious in this asian haven of consumption. And then we visited the chinese garden. A very quiet and relaxing garden which even under the broiling heat did a great deal to calm our stressed out nerves. Japanese and chinese gardens each in their own way are like health food for the soul. When in Asia, I always seek them out (though Portland, Oregon has one of each and they’re both absolutely extraordinary).
